Greg Hannan, 63, a beloved husband, brother, friend, uncle, and Knight of Columbus passed away on December 9, 2025, in the comfort of his home in Cedar Park TX, with his wife, Suzanne, by his side. Born on April 16, 1962, in
New Rochelle, New York, Greg's life was a testament to love, laughter, and dedication to his wife, Suzanne, and to his Brother Knights in the Knights of Columbus.
Greg had several interests. He was a member of the United States Army in the Military Police. For a time, he was a volunteer fire fighter for the Madison Connecticut Fire Department. Greg was a warehouse associate at USI in Madison CT. USI's specialty was laminating products. He also worked as a security guard for the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, CT.
During his time at USI, Greg met the love of his life, Suzanne. They were married on November 8, 2003. During their time of courtship, Suzanne was the recipient of many love letters written to her by Greg.
Greg and Suzanne enjoyed many hours playing dominoes, watching the New York Yankees baseball team and even attending some of those games. Some of their favorite TV shows were 'Chicago Fire" and Chicago Med" and the Food Network. "Iron Chef America" was one of their most preferred shows because of the competition. The Knights of Columbus was a most important part of Greg's Life. While living in Connecticut, he was the Grand Knight of his Council and the District Deputy of nine Councils in his District. One of his and Suzanne's treasured memories was attending the International Convention of the Knights in Orlando, Florida in 2006. Greg provided service to the Knights for over 35 years.
Greg and Suzanne moved to
Cedar Park, Texas in October of 2013. He quickly became involved with the Knights and was a member of the "elite" BBQ Smoke Squad. For the Fish "Frys", he was the "Fry Cook!" He was always there if the Knights needed him, whether it was selling pecans or tickets to special events. He was a proud member of The Ancient Order of the Hibernians, an Irish-Catholic organization. Greg was inducted into cenacle 13 of the Eucharistic Apostles of Divine Mercy on October 19, 2023.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents, William Hannan and Rita Keane. He is survived by his loving wife, Suzanne, and his two sisters, JoAnne Ebeling and Barbara Westphal (husband, George), a nephew, Christopher Ebeling and niece, Jennifer Ebeling. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Greg will be interred in Connecticut. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Greg to your local Fire Department, KC Council 7600, GK Jonathan Gamboa, or KC Assembly 3688, FN Ken Orze. Address for both is St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1101 W. New Hope Drive,
