Pops was one of a kind from way back when my dad was coaching Steve and Greg in Little League to when Greg was coaching my son Vincent with the Our Lady of Lourdes grammar school basketball team. Rest in Peace, Pops, you'll be missed.

I first met Greg in 1961, when he torched every pitch I threw him in our Little League battles at Colgate Field, and this led to a lifelong friendship. A great guy always with a smile. RIP, my friend.

Greg asked me out one New Years Eve. I was just 16. I had a crush on him. I will always remember him playing basketball at Colgate behind Edison school or hanging out at the corner. RIP Greg.

Rest in peace, life long friend.
