Gregory Lott, age 65 of Covington, Louisiana transitioned peacefully from on Monday, November 18, 2024 at 10:25 P.M. at St. Tammany Parish Hospital, Covington, Louisiana surrounded by family members.
Gregory was born May 26, 1959, at Bogalusa, Louisiana to the late Booker Thomas Lott and Dorothy Elaine Manning. He attended St. Tammany Parish Schools System, Covington Rosenwald School. His education level of completion was the ninth grade.
Gregory was baptized and accepted our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, as a young adult, at Mt. Zion Pilgrim Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of Dr. Wilker Neal.
He was gainfully employed at St. Paul's High School, as a Maintenance Technician; St. Tammany Parish Schools, Mandeville Junior High School as a Custodian; Poole Lumber Company as a Fork Lift Driver; Honda of Covington as a Service Technician; and Heritage Manor Nursing Home of Mandeville, as a Food Service Porter -Technician.
Gregory united in marriage with Ethel Mae White on March 17. 1997. To this union, no children were born. However, he was the father of five (5) children; Cory (deceased), Terrance, Krystal, Anna, and Gregory.
Gregory was a man of gentle spirit, humble, meek and he loved to watch television. His favorite television shows were sports, western movies, and watching the local and national news.
Let us remember Gregory as a man who cherished his friends and his family. Let us remember him as a fighter to the end - a man who refused to let his illness take him without the good fight. Let else remember Gregory as a lover of life and of all the people he met in it.
He was preceded in death by his father, Booker Thomas Lott, his paternal grandparents, Thomas "Tom" and Anna Silvan Lott, his maternal grandparents, John Oscar "Tot" and Thanie Elizabeth Lewis Manning; his son, Cory Michael Jackson; his brothers, Larry Donnell Lott and Booker Thomas Bailey;
Gregory's life and memories are survived by his wife, Ethel Mae White-Lott, his mother, Christine Dorothy Elaine Manning, his daughters and sons, Krystal Jackson, Anna Howard Duncan, Terrance Jackson and Gregory Howard-Lott; sister, Marilyn Delores Lott; Brothers, Thomas "Tommy" Lott, Jimmy Ray Lott and Bryan Keith Lott; Five (5) grandchildren, sister-in-law, Sandra Bailey; nieces, La'Nesha Peters, Sandra Marie Bailey; nephews, Keith Bryan (Sheree) Bailey, Wilbert (Annette) Bailey, Jermaine Bailey, Rodney Derek (Chalaine) Crawford II, La'Trell Peters and Jalik Lott, great-nieces, great- nephews, many cousins, other relatives and friends.
