Gregory Scott Luyben was born September 25, 1954 and passed away April 14, 2022 at the age of 67. He was a devoted husband to his wife Margaret Luyben (Conway). He loved being a father to his children Gregory(Carin), Stephen(Tricia), Daniel (Kristen), Rachael (Brian Bruce), Hilary (James Wheeler), Mary (Vince Dessero). What brought him the greatest joy was being a Grandfather and Papa to his 16 beautiful grandchildren that love him dearly. He is also survived by his mother Rosalie Luyben and six brothers John, Jim, Moe, Thad, Joe and Martin Luyben. Greg was the biggest family man and played such a huge role in many lives. He will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers we ask for donations to the Precious Life Shelter, considering Greg was such an advocate for life.

That Smile that Laugh. They defined Greg from grade school through his life! I knew Greg at St Cyprians and the occasional meeting through the years. He met everyone with that Smile and Laugh and made you feel like you were a best friend immediately! Never heard anyone utter a bad word about Greg, a tribute few can claim. A great husband, father, grandfather and friend. That Smile that Laugh, I will miss them but will always remember them! Rip Greg.

I was so sad to learn about Greg’s passing through a relative of his (Maria) who attends St. Jerome’s Catholic Church here in Waco, TX. I haven’t seen him in many years but I went to St. Cyprian’s school with Greg and had a big crush on him when we were kids. He was a great guy, always kind & funny and such a good person. RIP Greg.

My sincerest condolences to the entire Luyben family. Everyone that came to know Greg enjoyed his wit and sense of humor. I always appreciated (when we would run into each other) that he would always ask how my Mom (Wanda) was doing as well as my siblings. May God Bless Gregory Scott Luyben

I cannot begin to express my sympathy and sorrow of loosing my great friend
Gregory.
As we know he was a joy to anyone that knew him and spent time with him.
He had enriched all our lives.
Looking back over the last 40 plus years
our memories become more vivid and appreciative.
I never forget our good times on the golf course, fishing in Montana, shooting birds in California, nights around the poker table, searching for our wallets in Idaho, coworker in the packagkng industry, parties and a true friend to have in my life.
He will truly be missed.
Everyone loved Greg and the entire Luyben family
Our lives are more complete by having known Greg.

Greg, thank you for being you. I'm so lucky to have know you since first grade at St. Cyprian. I will think of you often and smile. You have taken a piece of our hearts by leaving us too soon, but the wonderful memories of you and the person you were will live on forever. You were an angel on earth and now you're bonifide! :) Giant hugs to the Luyben clan.
