Gregory McDaniels

Gregory C. McDaniels, age 86, of Beaverton, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2025. He was born on February 18, 1939, the son of Carl and Germaine (Dauphinais) McDaniels, in Detroit. On February 17, 1973, he married the love of his life, Freada Fisher. Together they shared 52 years filled with love and cherished memories. They had a double wedding and shared their special day with both their youngest siblings where Gregory’s brother Bob married Freada’s sister Peggy.

Gregory was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Following his service, he went on to partner with his brother, Bob, in owning and operating G & B Properties LLC until he retired in 2006. Gregory was an avid reader whom enjoyed traveling and being on the water. He loved history and sharing his wisdom with those around him. Gregory had a passion for his work, thoroughly enjoying his job. Above all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren, cherishing the moments he spent with them.

He is survived by his beloved wife: Freada; daughter: Cindy (Mike) Strohschein; grandchildren: Alex, Max, Amelia Strohschein; siblings: Bob (Peggy) McDaniels and Mike (Marcia) McDaniels; niece: Dawn; nephew: Robby; along with several extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Carl and Germaine; brother: Roger McDaniels; sisters: Carol McDaniels and Elaine Linneu.
