Greg was born on March 26, 1959, in Manhattan, KS to parents Paul George and Margie Lee (Davis) Mugler. He graduated from Winfield High School and then attended Cowley County Community College where he earned his certification for welding. Greg worked for over 30 years as an equipment operator on the pipeline. Later in life, he worked for USD 358 as the head of the maintenance and custodial department.

On July 10, 2004, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Patty Farris. Greg enjoyed collecting diecast toys, especially model trains. He enjoyed woodworking, welding, and being creative and was an elder at the Oxford Christian Church for many years. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his many grandkids. Greg will best be remembered for his unwavering smile and the ornery twinkle in his eye.
