Gregory Earl Peake, 68, of Muskegon, MI, passed away peacefully on Dec 14, 2025. Born on Nov 13, 1957, to Edward and Elaine (Fox) Peake. Greg's life was one filled with love, laughter and cooking. He was fortunate enough to have 2 great women in his life. In 1988, he married Tamara Nummerdor and they had 2 children together. In 1999, he married Lizbeth Berghuis and they had one daughter. Lizbeth left this life far too soon in 2003, but he cherished their memories together.
Greg attended Orchard View Schools and went on to earn a living as a machinist and welder. He worked at various shops including his father's shop GP Industries, Neway (now Holland Hitch) and Structural Concepts. Known for his skills both on the job and in the kitchen, he had a knack for making meals that brought the family together. When he wasn't busy on the job or cooking up a storm, you could find him watching sports, hunting or fishing and embracing the great outdoors he loved. Some of his greatest memories were from rustic family fishing trips to Canada every summer as a kid and well into his adult life.
Greg was a devoted dad and enjoyed carrying on his father's tradition of giving his children unique and funny names that brought laughter to family gatherings. He leaves behind his son, Jacob (Elexis Fisk) Peake, daughters Rachael (Andrew) Norton, Veronica (Billy Trosper) Peake, and Elaina (Micah) Woller; as well as grandchildren Bryce, Bianca, Piper, Drew, Emmett and Jayce. He is also survived by brothers Scott (Terry) Barton, Mike (Mary) Peake; sister Shelley (Larry) Tejchma, and brother-in-law John Houseman. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews, too numerous to count. He also leaves his former wife Tamara, good friend Zane Holcomb and many, many friends. He was a friend to all and will be missed by many. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Lizbeth, sister Vicki Houseman and nephew Ethan Burns.
To celebrate Greg's life, the family will hold services at a later date. Friends and family are invited to join in remembering the good times shared with him.
