Gregory C. Pell, born in Wheeling, West Virginia on June 15, 1951, resident of Orient, Ohio, passed away on September 2, 2025. He was preceded in death by parents, Dr. Carroll and Josephine (Donoghue) Pell; brother Lindsey Pell; brother-in-law, Mark Schell; sister-in-law, Judith M. Johnston; Greg will be sadly missed by his loving family, including his wife, Mary-Joe (Hemphill) Pell; his son, Jeromie; daughter-in-law. Carla (Williamson) Pell; sister, Debbie (Pell) McCoy, Roger, sister, Rebecca (Pell) Schell; brother-in-law, Randy Johnston; brother-in-law, Joseph W. Hemphill, Jr., Denise, sister-in-law, Betty Ann (Hemphill) Taylor, Tim; sister-in-law, Shirley K. Perkins, John; nieces & nephews: Scottie Miller, Melinda; Angie Miller; Lindsay (Schell) Swartz, Kory; Lauren (Schell), Greenspan, Michael; Jessica (Johnston) Miller; Joseph W. Hemphill III; Josh McCabe (Maranda), Christopher Slane, (Kelsey), Robbie Sanders; Many great nieces and nephews and friends.

Greg graduated from Pleasant View High School in 1969. He then attended Ohio State University and graduated with a bachelor degree in Forestry in 1973.

Greg received several awards for the courses he took in Scouting as a Scout Master. He also had excellent skills in wood crafting. He was honored with an award from the Huntington Co. for his proficiency, remodeling the (historical) Presbyterian Church downtown, Columbus, Ohio.

Greg was also an avid hunter and hunted in many places throughout the United States. His "trophies" include, buffalo, antelope, caribou, white tail deer, mule deer and elk. He loved many sports including the OSU BUCKEYES, horseback riding, water skiing and boating. Above all else, Greg loved riding his Harley with Jeromie, Joey and his wife of 54 years (9-11-1971).

Friends and family may call at the NEWCOMER SOUTHWEST CHAPEL 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123 on Sunday, September 14, 2025 from 2:00pm until time of memorial service at 4:00pm. Pastor Theresa Wallington-Tipton officiating.
