BRANDON:
Gregory "Beaver" Reed, age 69, passed peacefully on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at his home in Brandon.
Beaver was born in Proctor on November 22, 1955. He was the son of Carmi and Glenna (White) Reed. He grew up in Brandon where he received his education. He began his working years with Racine Tower in Forest Dale; he later did roofing with his brother-in-law; John Williams. Carpenter work entered his field while working with John Henry Reed, as well as masonry work with Greg Harris. He closed out his working years with Davd Sweatt as a blind cleaner, for various area hotels. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved spending time with his nieces & nephews. He loved animals, and just being outdoors.
He is survived by his brother; Jeffrey Reed & his wife Pam, 2 sisters; Tootie Williams and Linda Lamica & her husband Bob. Several nieces, nephews, and great nieces, nephews and great, great nieces, nephews & cousins, also survive him, as well as a special friend Laura Bean. He was predeceased by his parents, a brother Ronnie and 2 sisters; Jackie Brown and Penny Baldwin.
The graveside committal service and burial will take place, at a later date, in the family lot, at Forest Dale Cemetery.
Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers may be made, in his memory to; Rutland Area visiting Nurse & Hospice, 7 Albert Cree Drive, Rutland, VT 05701 or Rutland County Humane Society, 765 Stevens Road, Pittsford, VT 05763.
