Gregory Scott Rountree, 54, of Westminster, CO, formerly of Adel, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, CO.
Funeral services will be held at Evergreen Baptist Church, Adel.GA on Monday, October 20, 2025. Visitation will be at the church at 10 AM and Funeral services at 11 AM. Interment to follow in the Rountree Family cemetery. Reverend A.J. Hall and Keith Myers will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Michael Heirs, Keith Myers, Brent Bloser, Michael Rountree, David Darnell and Brad Bush.
Greg was born on April 2, 1971, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA. Greg was the son of the late Linda Faye Jones and John Rountree. Greg graduated from Cook High School. He was employed by Olsen Landscaping in Boulder County Colorado. Greg was skilled at building wood fences and enjoyed doing this in his spare time and weekends. He was also an avid fisherman and usually went fishing every day after work if he didn’t have a fence project.
Greg is survived by his daughter, Haley Ann Thompson of West Virginia, Father John Rountree and wife Vivian of Norman Park, GA, sisters Catrina Marie Duncan and husband John of Oakwood, GA., Valerie Ann Darnell of Westminster, CO, and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested any donations be made to the Adel/Nashville Gideon camp to the attention of Donnie Philpot, P.O. Box 1122 Adel, GA or to the Georgia Sheriffs Association.
