Mr. Gregory Wayne Russell
Mr. Gregory Wayne Russell, age 63 of Lexington, Indiana, entered this life on August 10, 1959 in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was the loving son of the late George Elbert Russell and Betty Faye Sharp Russell. Gregory was raised in Scottsburg and was a 1977 graduate of Scottsburg High School. In 1982, he earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry and math at Indiana University Southeast. Gregory then went on to get his master's degree in chemistry at the University of Illinois in 1988. On November 8, 1986, Gregory was united in marriage to Catherine Anne Wolfert in Champaign, Illinois. He was a faithful member at Hanover Baptist Church. Gregory enjoyed Bible study, computers, oil painting, and Corvettes. Gregory died on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 9:12 p.m. at the Baptist Health-Floyd in New Albany, Indiana. A LOVING FAMILY
Gregory will be missed by his loving wife Catherine Anne Wolfert Russell of Lexington, Indiana; his sister, Connie Renschler and her husband Bryan of Lexington, Indiana; his loving nieces and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, George Elbert Russell, died May 14, 2018, and his mother, Betty Faye Sharp Russell, died June 11, 2019.
FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. by Pastor JD Traylor at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre- Hanover Chapel,278 East Main Street in Hanover, Indiana.
