Gregory E. Savoy

With his loving family by his side Gregory E. Savoy, 68, of Keyport, NJ, peacefully passed away on Tuesday December 30, 2025. He was born in Kearny, NJ to the late Elayne (Klebacher) and Edward Savoy. Gregg was a long-time resident of Keyport where he lived a life grounded in faith, service and devotion to family. Gregg was an Eagle Scout, a distinction that reflected his integrity, leadership and lifelong commitment to helping others. He worked for many years in Information Technology and Cyber Security holding a variety of roles that showcased his intelligence, dedication and strong sense of responsibility. Known for his dry sense of humor, Gregg had a subtle wit that often caught people by surprise and was especially appreciated by those who knew him well. A man of deep faith, Gregg was very active and dedicated to Our Lady of Fatima parish and was a long time and active member of the Knights of Columbus holding numerous positions over time, including a Past Charter Grand Knight (Chapter 12232), where he valued charity, fellowship and service to the community. Gregg was also involved with many organizations and held many titles and memberships in his life. Gregg is predeceased by his sister-in-law Anne Marie Savoy. He is survived by his beloved wife Martha of 45 years; his loving sons Daniel and Joseph Savoy; and his brothers, Kenny Savoy, and Jeff Savoy and his wife Angela, as well as many cherished cousins and dear friends who will miss him greatly. A devoted husband, proud father and caring brother, Gregg will be remembered for his faith, steady presence, and quiet humor. Visitation for Gregg will be held Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Day Funeral Home located at 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ 07735. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, January 16 at 10AM at St. Joseph's Church. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Gregg's memory to Our Lady of Fatima parish.
