Gregory Lionel Sharp departed this life to join his Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 9, 2022. He passed peacefully at the age of 62 at his home in Folsom with his wife and family by his side. He fought a courageous battle for years with cancer, heart disease, and radiation necrosis. He was the beloved husband of almost 40 years to Jo Anne Fairburn Sharp. Greg did not have children but he considered his nephews and nieces as his own – Brett (Sonya), Bobby (Crystal) and Taylor (Emily) Sharp, Charles (Wendy) Pellegrin, Chris, Dustin and Ashlee Fairburn, and Dakota Corkern. His great nieces and nephews were a big part of his life – Bryton, Brylie, Carleigh, Scarlett, Ellie, Tallon and Karson. His is survived by a large family of aunts, uncles, cousins, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, and friends. He was loved and protected by his trusty dogs Roscoe and Holly.
Greg was known as "Bigun" to many friends and family. He could put a smile on your face and was always the peacemaker in the group. Greg was an industrial, commercial and residential painter the majority of his life. He enjoyed being around his family and friends. Greg's hobbies were eight-ball, darts, vacationing in Gatlinburg, and cheering on his brother, nephews and friends at Gulfport Drag Racing.
