Gregory Lynn Simon, 75, of Franklin, NC, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026.
He was born in Auburn, NY, to the late Lester and Alma Moore Simon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Simon. He loved traveling, liked Nascar and camping, he was a big Dale Earnhardt fan. He loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Lloyd Simon, children, Bill Simon (Krisann), Christine Hamilton (Randy), twin sisters, Joan Klug (Don), Jean Brannaco, sister-in-law, Shirley Simon, five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
A funeral will be held on Friday, January 30th, at 10am at the North Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain, NC.
