Gregory Michael Smith, aged 61, passed away unexpectedly on December 29, 2025. Born on December 13, 1964 to Gary Smith and Lorraine Wells in Folsom, California. Greg was a devoted automotive technician of 43 years, avid sports/race enthusiast and loving father of Gregory Paul Smith, aged 38.
In his 30’s and 40’s on weekends Greg enjoyed taking his son camping, fishing, offroading and was a wonderful and proud father and single parent of Gregory Jr. He taught him the ways of life and shaped him into the man he is today. In his later years Greg enjoyed various activities such as having brunch with family, going for scenic walks, hanging out in his garage and greeting friends and neighbors, taking rides on his Yamaha and taking drives to surrounding areas like Coloma, Silver Fork, Mt. Shasta and Bodega Bay to name a few. When in season, a trip to Apple Hill was a must every year for pie and tri tip sandwiches. Greg had a very generous nature and was always willing to extend his mechanical skills and knowledge to help anyone in need and will be loved and missed by many.
