Utter, Gregory G.
DELMAR - Gregory G. Utter, born on June 2, 1966, in Springfield, Mass., passed away on December 26, 2025, at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. He was 59 years old.
Greg was known for his strong work ethic. He began his journey in dairy farming at the age of 11. Over the years, he transitioned into the trucking industry, where he spent over 22 years driving for Daim in Fultonville, N.Y., followed by a decade with Foodliner in Albany. His dedication to his work reflected his character, determined and industrious.
Greg had a great laugh, and was known for providing the best hugs. With a generous heart, Gregory often selflessly donated to food pantries, animal shelters, and assisting anyone in need that he encountered.
Greg enjoyed bowling and vacationing in Wells, Maine and Niagara Falls. These hobbies brought him great happiness and relaxation away from the demands of everyday life.
Gregory is survived by his children, Chad (Theresa) Utter, of Watervliet, and Jeremy Michael (Jacob) Utter, of Calif.; his sister, Melody Mason of Ballston Lake; and nieces, Chelsea Mason, Jeannette Mason, and Kimberly Day; and his longtime friend, Kevin Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Francis Utter; and mother, Elaine Cooke.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 10 a.m., at Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar.
