I am so sorry to read that Greg died! I was just googling to see if I could get in touch with him and his obituary came up. To his family, my deepest sympathies! Elder Wright and I were companions in the South Dakota Rapid City Mission. He was a lot of fun and a very good missionary! He was great with the native Americans! He could laugh, crack jokes, tease with the best of them. He could also teach the gospel! They loved basketball on the reservation and he was an exceptional athlete! I loved watching him play basketball!
I have thought about him often over the past 49 years!
Greg entered the mission field about 2 months before I did. As he transferred out, I entered the mission field and replaced him. So, we had the same trainer, Elder Warren Owens. We were both blessed to have Elder Owens! It was a joy to serve with Greg, as companions, about a year later, as Zone leaders.
I was thrilled to see he was active in the church and even served in the temple! I look forward to seeing him on the other side of the veil one day!
I know this is 2 years later but I couldn't help but express love for one of my great companions!
May God bless you, his posterity and siblings! I'm grateful for the blessing of knowing him in this life!

I am so sorry to hear of Greg's passing. He was truly a great man who's heart was as big as his smile.
I worked with Greg for a short time at GHI. There was never a dull moment with him around and he was sure to keep you guessing on what little trick was coming next. My wife and I also had the privilege of spending time in the Uintah mountains with Greg and Julie. He was a master of map knowledge and was one of the greatest tour guides my family has ever had during that trip.
He always spoke so highly and reverently of Julie. Of how much she meant to him and how much she blessed his life when she came into it. He truly was in love with her.
You will be greatly missed, Greg. The reunion with Julie was one that I am certain was met with a chorus of angels singing their joy to both of you.
I love ya buddy.
