Joanne Bair Obituary

Joanne Farr Bair 8/12/26 ~ 12/30/03  Joanne Farr Bair- Got her wings Dec. 30, 2003 in Salt Lake City, UT.  She was born August 12, 1926 in Salt Lake City, to W. Hal Farr and Myrle Anderson Farr. She married Preston G. Bair on September 18, 1957, later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. She was educated in the Salt Lake public schools, graduating from East High and the University of Southern California. She spent a year working abroad in Paris, France. She became a well-known organist under the tutelage of Ray Darley and was president of the organ guild for a short time. She was a member of the Air National Guard Reserve. She taught elementary school in Charleston S.C. before returning to Salt Lake, but most of her working career was with Intermountain Network radio station.  She lived in the Millcreek area for 27 years serving as Relief Society president, ward Primary organist. She loved her flower gardens, roses, her kitties and was a friend to all. She was a cancer survivor of 10 years and helped so many with her kind heart and concern. She will be remembered as a lovely lady with a beautiful spirit. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, daughters Randy (Bruce) McCormmach, Debbie (Tim) Baker and four grandchildren Wade, Colin, Holden and Kendall. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Barbara and son Scott. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004 at 12:00 noon at East Millcreek 11th Ward, 2702 Evergreen. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn, 3401 S. Highland Dr. and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
