Grethyll was an independent and strong woman and mother. She was a wonderful quilter, and her love of the craft will be displayed at the service. She was a self-taught organist and blessed her family with her talent as well as playing the accordion. She was loved and will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Nelfurd Kraak; and son-in-law, Thomas Tapley.
She is survived by her husband, John Heuvelman; daughter, Cheryl Tapley; daughter, Sandi and Jerry Ray; daughter, Vicky (Larry Vera) Brouwer; grandchildren, Donald and Lori Tapley, Melissa DeJonge, Laura Norman, Tammie and Jacob Jacobs, Corey and Katrina Volkers, Stephanie and Jacob DeBoer, Derek and Gemini Brouwer, Beau and Charity Vera, Mitchell Vera; 17 great-grandchildren; and many extended family members.
Visitation with the family is 10:00-10:45 am Monday, July 29, 2024, at North Street Christian Reformed Church, 20 East Main Ave, Zeeland, MI 49464.
Funeral services are at 11:00 am the same day also at North Street CRC with Rev. Dirk Koetje officiating.
Private burial to take place in Restlawn Cemetery.
