Grover Mark Shell, 67, husband of Morah Shell, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born July 20, 1956 in Nicholasville, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Grover Eugene Shell and Lucille Brown Hughes. Mark was a very talented carpenter, for 30 years he worked independently building homes. He also worked as a custodian for 17 years at Garth Elementary School. Mark was a true family man, he loved his family and enjoyed cooking for them. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and dancing. Mark also loved to "Ramble" this was his word for thrift shopping at Bargain Hunt, Goodwill Stores, and yard sales.
Mark will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Morah Brewer Shell, children, Jamie (Debbie) Townsend, Mark Adam Shell, Crissy Shell (Jenny Dunn), Joseph (Jennifer) Shell, Nick (Melissa) Shell, brother, David (Brenda) Brown, sister-in-law, Geri Shell, 20 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by siblings, Kenneth Shell, Steven Shell, and Lora Shell.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home, Danny Hillard officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 11:00 am. Burial will follow the service at Masonic Cemetery, Stamping Ground, where pallbearers will be Bradley Buchanan, Kaleb Shell, Gauge Shell, Josh Neal, Tony Townsend, and Mackenzie Shell. Friends and family are encouraged to leave messages of condolence and share memories here on Mark's tribute wall.
