Grover "Johnny" Stanley, a beloved resident of Pulaski, Georgia for over 50 years, passed away on November 26, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loving family and under the compassionate care of Ogeechee Area Hospice, from cardiac-related issues. Johnny lived a life rich with love for nature, spending his time gardening, fishing, and caring for his cherished animals. Johnny was preceded in death by his loving wife, Martha Newberry-Stanley, and his stepdaughter, Jennifer.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, survived by his life partner, Sue Thompson; his daughter, Lisa Sanderson, and her husband, Charles Sanderson; his granddaughter, Condalyn Olive; his devoted nephew, Stanley Robbins; and his stepson, Bobby. Johnny also had the joy of witnessing the growth of his family through four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, along with several nephews and nieces who adored him.
A memorial service to honor Johnny’s life will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Low Country Cremation & Burial, located at 135 North Main Street, Reidsville, Georgia.
