Grover Cleveland Wright

Ann and family,I am so sorry for your loss. I will truly miss my cousin. He was always there for me when I needed legal help or advice. He never charged me for his help. I would ask him why he wasn't charging me. He would reply, "We are family, aren't we?" A few times my husband would carry me to his home. Grover would come down from his upstairs home at the beach and sit in our Suburban with me so we could talk when I could no longer walk. He always talked about family still here and those already gone. We would share a hug before he got out and went back up to his home. I am glad to have been his cousin. He was such a great and gifted man. He will live always in my heart.

Dear Ann, Laura, Laura, Corbitt, Jimmy and Hannon,

When I think of Grover, I remember walking early over to the beach on 79th Street and spending the entire day until dinner time with all the kids playing and enjoying the beach. Grover was always kind to me and I always felt safe when he was around, like he was truly looking out for me.I can remember his smile like it was yesterday! Although I hadn't seen him in many years, I've always had these great memories. I was so sorry to have missed the funeral. I did not know until the day of and I have been helping my grandmother in the hospital. My prayers and condolences to all of you. I will remember him well as will my family.

Grover was one of the best lawyers in the entire tidewater area. He was a man of integrity and was a real credit to the legal profession. I send my condolences to his family.
