Guadalupe Palomino, age 94 passed away on Tuesday, December 30th, 2025, Surrounded by his family.
Guadalupe was loving and caring and always happy. He loved all his family. Guadalupe served in the Army for many years. From there he lived in Grant Pass Oregon where he lived with his wife Crystal Norene Palomino. Guadalupe's heart was set to come home to New Mexico when he would visit, he would always say I'll be back and he did come back to New Mexico in 2017 where he chose to live with his Great great Niece Angela and her husband BJ Pacheco till the day he was called home.
Guadalupe loved to take long rides with his brother Ignacio in his little van. They would cruise the mountains and sometimes even pull to the side to throw in the fishing rod. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. Lupe you are going to be missed tremendously MI TIO QUIERDO. He served Private 1st class during the Korean War.
Guadalupe is preceded in death by his parents: Valentine Palomino and Margarita Padilla Palomino; His wife of 34 years Crystal Norene Palomino. His son Robert Palomino, Stepdaughter Bernadette (Bernie) Step-Son Kim Palomino Mother of his Children Betty Lou Palomino His brothers: Ignacio, Seferino, Carlos, Jesus, and Isidro Palomino Sisters; Frutosa Palomino and Elosia Gonzales. Nephews; Christy Russell, Alfred Sanchez, Anthony Sanchez, James Palomino, and Larry Valerio. Niece; Madeline Sanchez, Amanda Martinez.
Guadalupe is survived by His Daughters: Priscilla Palomino and Geraldine Palomino Grandsons; Jess & Edward Palomino, Adam, Renee Archuleta Grand-daughters Verna Archuleta, Elisa Archuleta Brenda Archuleta. Stepchildren: Buttons, Billy, Jeanette, Terry, Clint & Grandson Skeeter (Stephaine) Brown. Nieces, Angela (BJ) Pacheco, Julie Quintana, Jasmine Sanchez (Kedrick), Savannah Sanchez (Henry), Samantha Urrutia, Rosie (Raymond) Muniz, Cindy (Chris) Sais, Natasha Pacheco (Dillian), Arlena Pacheco, Vaylynn Romero, Eloysa Lopez, Teresa Palomino, Kathy Goodson.
Nephews; Richard Russell, Anthony Russell, Albert (Bernadette) Sanchez, Andrew (Esther) Sanchez, Alex Pacheco. Jordan Pacheco, Andrew Jr. Sanchez, Elijah (Nadia) Sanchez, Isaiah Sanchez, William Lopez, Jason Romero, Richard Palomino, Daniel (Joanne) Palomino. Numerous: other relatives and friends.
Antoinette Lopez helped many years caring for Lupe, and he considered her his niece and loved her very much. A big thank you to the staff at Alta Vista Dr. Henderson for helping him to start to get comfortable Dr. Tafoya for always being by our side in these difficult times and guiding us into the right directions of what's to come and expect you will always have a special place in our hearts. Nurse Hannah Sanchez stood with us the whole day, giving us the time we needed to say goodbye and answered all our questions. Her kind beautiful heart the kind loving words and the gift to my Tio of his Rosary we are so appreciative of you, you truly are a beautiful Nurse. Father Rob Yaksich thank you so much for coming in the early hours to pray with us and giving him all he needed to cross over to the beautiful heavens. You have been so amazing to us and have stood with us in all our time of grief we love you dearly Father.
Rosary will be recited on Friday, January 16, 2026 at 6:00pm. Funeral mass will conducted on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 9:30am both services will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in
Las Vegas, NM. Pallbearers will be Angela Pacheco, B.J. Pacheco, Alex Pacheco, Albert Sanchez, Andrew Sanchez, Jordan Pacheco
Interment will be on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 10:30am at Santa Fe National Cemetery in
Santa Fe, NM.
