Guadalupe Torres Obituary Guadalupe Naranjo Torres, a matriarch who embodied the essence of love, faith, and hard work, passed away peacefully at her home in Orange, California, on May 24, 2025, at the age of 100. Born on August 15, 1924, to Marcelino Torres and Refujio Naranjo in Acuitzeramo, Michoacan, Mexico. Guadalupe's vibrant spirit and nurturing heart touched the lives of all who knew her.
Guadalupe spent the first 45 years of her life in her beloved hometown in Mexico, where she persevered through struggles and worked endlessly to support her family. In 1969, she embarked on a courageous journey to the United States, seeking better opportunities for her family and setting roots in the city of Orange, California. As a single mother, she displayed remarkable resilience and strength, raising her children with unwavering dedication and love.
Her work as a florist at Hines Nursery in Irvine spanned over 35 years, where her green thumb and passion for plants and flowers flourished. Guadalupe's natural talent brought beauty into the lives of many, and her nurturing care helped both her family and her gardens grow.
Guadalupe's interests extended beyond her floral creations. She had a deep love for birds, finding joy in caring for them as pets and watching them in their natural habitat. Her appreciation for beauty was evident in her fondness for jewelry and earrings, which reflected her radiant personality. She also enjoyed an occasional ice-cold beer, savoring it in moderation as a special treat.
Family was indeed the cornerstone of Guadalupe's life. She cherished being surrounded by her loved ones, especially her grandchildren, who were a constant source of joy and pride. Guadalupe's presence at family gatherings was a blessing, her laughter and stories a treasure that will be dearly missed.
Guadalupe is survived by her two sons, Jose and Nicanor Marron; four daughters, Soledad Martinez, Irene Sanchez, Rosa Pedroza, and Guadalupe Prado; two brothers, Marcelino Torres and Audelio Torres.
She was preceded in death by her husband Felix Marron; two daughters, Elena and Leonor Marron; one son, Miguel Marron; two sisters and two brothers. Despite these profound losses, Guadalupe's spirit never wavered, and her passion for life continued to inspire those around her.
Her legacy continues through her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her life was a testament to her loving and faith-filled nature, and she leaves behind a rich tapestry of memories that will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Guadalupe's journey on this earth has come to a peaceful close, but her influence will continue to resonate in the lives of her family and all who were touched by her kindness. Her unwavering love and the values she instilled in her children and grandchildren will carry on as her most enduring legacy.
Guadalupe Naranjo Torres will be remembered not only for the life she lived but for the love she freely gave. Her memory will be a guiding light for her family, a reminder of the strength of faith, the importance of hard work, and the boundless capacity to love. She will be deeply missed, but the beauty she has planted in the hearts of those she leaves behind will continue to bloom for generations to come.
