Guadalupe Sosa Zavala Jr., 78, was born in New Braunfels on March 23, 1947 to Guadalupe and Petra Zavala and passed away on November 13, 2025 at his home in Kingwood, TX. He was born, the third child of five. Junior or "Juney" as he was known to his siblings and cousins, grew up in San Antonio's east side where he graduated from St. Gerard High School. Upon graduation, Lupe enlisted in the US Army deploying to Vietnam. After his enlistment, Lupe was honorably discharged and settled in Houston where he would spend the rest of his days enjoying the outdoors with a love for hunting and fishing. Lupe is survived by his four siblings, Cipriana Ochoa, Paula Zavala, Juan Zavala, and Refugio Zavala, his five children Monica Rodriquez and husband David, sons Jacob, Robert, and Isaac, Veronica Zavala and her sons Matthew and Nico, Clarissa Zavala and husband Gerald her daughter Ashland and son Fabian, Victor Zavala and wife Kimberly and their sons Nathaniel and Coy, and daughter Juliette, and Erika Macias and husband Isaac and their son Isaac and daughter Mina. Lupe is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. The memorial will be at Veteran's Funeral Services and the burial will be held at the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to The Fallen Outdoors https://linktr.ee/tfo_texas
