Guillermo Reta Armendariz passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025, in Kansas City, Kansas. He was born on March 10, 1940, in Camargo, Chihuahua, Mexico. In 1970, he married his beloved wife, Consuelo, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage until her passing. He worked for Chamizal Park in Juárez, Mexico, for nearly 20 years before moving to the United States, where he was employed in several meatpacking plants. Throughout his life, his love for family and friends was evident in everything he did, always ready to lend a helping hand.

Guillermo was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church of Garden City.

He enjoyed fishing and visiting the casino, hobbies that brought him joy and relaxation. He was a talented and funny handyman who dedicated his life to helping others.

Guillermo leaves behind a loving family, including his son, Antonio Reta and wife Laura; two daughters, Martha Melchor Reta and Graciela Reta, and his son-in-law, Gerardo Zamora husband of his late daughter, Guillermina Reta, all of Garden City, Kansas; four brothers, Rogelio Reta Armendariz, Gregorio Reta Armendariz, Eduardo Reta Armendariz, and Antonio Reta Armendariz; a sister, Soledad Reta Armendariz; along with grandchildren Mayra (Cody) Zarate, Adriana (Austin) Melchor, Marco (Eliza) Reta, Jessica Reyes, Elizabeth (Joel) Contreras, Edgar Reyes, Gabriela Zamora, Diego (Cynthia) Reta, Cynthia Zamora, Isaac Galaviz, and Jayla Galaviz and 13 great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends who will miss him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Consuelo Reta; his son, Mario Reta; and his daughter, Guillermina Reta, as well as his parents.

Visitation services for Guillermo will be held at Robson Funeral Home - Garden City on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and on Sunday, September 7, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 4:45 pm.

Rosary will take place on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at 5:00 pm at Robson Funeral Home, Garden City.

Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 12:00 pm, followed by a burial service at Valley View Cemetery, Garden City.

Guillermo Reta Armendariz's legacy of kindness, humility, and service to others will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege to know him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and community.

Guillermo Reta Armendariz falleció el Lunes 1 de Septiembre de 2025 en Kansas City, Kansas. Nació el 10 de Marzo de 1940 en Camargo, Chihuahua, México. En 1970, unio su vida en matrimonio con su amada esposa, Consuelo, con quien compartió 55 años de matrimonio hasta su fallecimiento. Trabajó en el parque El Chamizal en Juárez, México, durante casi 20 años antes de mudarse a los Estados Unidos, donde laboró en varias plantas empacadoras de carne. A lo largo de su vida, su amor por la familia y amistades se hizo evidente en todo lo que hacía, siempre dispuesto a brindar una mano.

Guillermo era miembro de la Iglesia Católica St. Mary de Garden City.

Lo precedieron en la muerte su amada esposa, Consuelo Reta; su hijo, Mario Reta; su hija, Guillermina Reta; y sus padres.

Los servicios de visita se llevarán a cabo en Robson Funeral Home – Garden City el Sábado 6 de Septiembre de 2025, de 3:00 pm a 8:00 pm, y el Domingo 7 de Septiembre de 2025, de 2:00 pm a 4:45 pm.

El Rosario se realizará el Domingo 7 de Septiembre de 2025, a las 5:00 pm en Robson Funeral Home, Garden City.

La Misa de Cuerpo Presente se celebrará en la Iglesia Católica St. Mary el Lunes 8 de Septiembre de 2025, a las 12:00 pm, seguida del servicio de entierro en Valley View Cemetery, Garden City.
