In Loving Memory
Gurjeet Singh Panesar
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend, and mentor to many
August 20, 1945 – May 18, 2025
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Gurjeet Singh Panesar, who departed this world peacefully on May 18, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Gurjeet is survived by his devoted wife, Agyapal Panesar, and his loving children: Manmeet Panesar (Dhamoon), Harinder Panesar, Rupinder Panesar (Chadha), Gurdeep Panesar, Teghkaran Chadha, Willy Jex, and Ravneet Kaur. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Devin Dhamoon, Navkaran Chadha, Gurshaan Chadha, Arvinder Chadha, and Amari Jex.
Born and raised in Ajmer, India, Gurjeet earned a full scholarship to study engineering. He made a selfless decision that led him away from his childhood dream of becoming an accountant and instead down a path of excellence in mechanical engineering. During his early years, he formed lifelong friendships with classmates-dear friends grounded in late nights of study, shared laughter, and spirited games of table tennis-bonds that endured across continents and decades.
After immigrating to Canada, Gurjeet began his career humbly at SKF, working as a tool and die maker. Over two decades, he rose to become a Corporate Director of Engineering. He was a brilliant process engineer, awarded numerous patents for his innovative thinking. But even with a thriving corporate career, Gurjeet never let go of his desire to build something of his own. Eventually, he took a bold leap-leaving behind the security of the corporate world to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming an entrepreneur.
With several young children depending on him, it was a risk most would hesitate to take-but Gurjeet moved forward with quiet determination and unwavering belief in his abilities. He founded his own metal stamping manufacturing company, which he built from the ground up and ran successfully for many years. It was a reflection of his courage, discipline, and drive to create something lasting and meaningful.
Still, Gurjeet's proudest accomplishments were not in the workplace, but at home. The life he built with his wife and children-rooted in love, stability, and presence-was his greatest achievement. His love for his wife, Agyapal, was deep and enduring. He admired her nurturing spirit and unwavering kindness. She was his anchor through life's challenges, and together they created a home filled with compassion, devotion, and shared purpose. Their partnership, built on mutual respect and care, shaped the foundation of their children's lives.
He brought calm and joy into every room he entered. After long workdays, his children eagerly waited to hear the door open, knowing their father would walk in with warmth, peace, and an unshakable presence. He shielded his family from life's pressures, offering instead strength, guidance, and unconditional love.
Gurjeet's legacy cannot be measured by material success alone-it lives in the quiet strength, resilience, and determination he showed through every season of life. In the face of adversity, he never wavered. What he passed down to his children was not just encouragement, but conviction:
"Don't give up. Don't give up. Don't give up. You can do it."
That message became his compass-and now becomes his children's and grandchildren's. The values he lived by are etched into their hearts, and it is with love, honor, and unwavering resolve that they carry them forward.
In his final moments, he left his family with a sacred parting message:
"Babaji hamesha yaad rakho" - "Always remember Waheguru."
A final blessing and a reflection of the faith, love, and clarity with which he lived his life.
Gurjeet Singh Panesar will be remembered not just for the heights he achieved, but for the kindness, integrity, and steady grace with which he walked through life. His legacy lives on through the family he built, the lives he touched, and the values he lived by every single day.
May he find peace in the eternal rest he so deeply deserves.
