Gust N. Avgerinos, age 90, of
Munster, IN passed away on August 9, 2023. He is survived by his loving children: Danny and Angela Avgerinos; grandchildren: Christina and Stacy Avgerinos; great granddaughter: Ellie Sofia Anastasia; sister: Vasso Kangelaris; and various nieces, nephews, and cousins in Greece and the U.S.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife: Georgia Avgerinos, son: Nickolas Avgerinos; and brothers: Kyriakos and Jim Avgerinos.
Gust was a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church for over 65 years; Panarcadian Society, and AHEPA. He enjoyed hunting, dancing to Greek music, and spending time with family; especially when he prepared for big Easter celebrations. Gust retired from the Lake County Superior Court as a maintenance engineer.
Visitation with the family will be on Saturday August 12, 2023 from 9:30-10am at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 7021 Hohman Ave. Hammond, IN with a service to follow at 10am with Fr. David Bissias officiating. Interment at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond, IN.
