Gustavo was a hardworking ranch hand who took great pride in his work. He cherished time spent with his family and friends and especially enjoyed cooking for those he loved. His kind heart, strong work ethic, and love for family will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Tonya Marie Diaz (Godfrey); daughter, Ebony Lee Diaz; nieces and nephews, also of the home: Viviona Diaz, Jeremiah Pearson, Joshua Diaz, Promise Diaz, Poncho Diaz, and Jasmine Pearson; father, Nicolas Montalvo Diaz; and siblings Alex, Martin, Jamie, Araceli, Miguel, and David.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 10, 2025, at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home in Muskogee, OK, with Reverend Kenneth Clay officiating. Burial will follow at McLain Cemetery in Keefeton, OK.
Pallbearers will be Martin Diaz, Alex Diaz, Miguel Diaz, Jamie Diaz, Poncho Diaz, and Nicolas Diaz. Honorary pallbearers include Mike Herx, Juan Carlos Bonilla, John Synar, Jason Synar, and Terry Godfrey.
