Many memories over the years; Guy use to tell me that I should have raised more children like he and Betty did & I told Guy he didn't raise the kids , Betty did that while he was off in a boat! When we visited Prince George Guy would take Sonny to Timmies every morning for coffee but he wouldn't let Sonny cut his grass! When Guy would come to Marmora from Nova Scotia for a visit we would go to the Marmora hub room for a few beers. when we bought our house in Marmora Guy put 7 gallons of paint on the inside of our house then when the painting was done it was party time wonderful memories we have had over the years

Guy and Betty were our neighbours for many years. They were there for us through the death of our young nephew and later our parents. They were there when our kids graduated and our daughter got married. They were there when our grandson was born and never missed a moment to spoil him every time he came to visit. they loved him dearly and he was as much their grandchild as ours. We all miss them very much and will never forget their kindness and how they always looked out for everyone around them. Our deepest sympathy for your loss.

I will always remember my uncle Guy fondly. He always had a smile on his face whenever I saw him, liked to laugh, and looked a lot like my Dad! Our thoughts and prayers go out to your family at this time. Lucy, Peter, Jonathan and Joseph Willemsen.

Michelle, Marcel & Nicole....we're very sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. When your parents lived in Trenton, they would often drive down to Marmora to visit family and friends including popping in to see my Mom & Dad. I was lucky enough to be home a few times when they stopped in and it was nice to sit and chat with them. Every once in a while, I remember your Dad driving over to my parents house by himself and he would speak so fondly and proudly of his "3 kids" and in later visits his gran kids. On behalf of our family, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families...Pierre, Anna, Celina, Eleyna & Chantal Belanger

We send our heartfelt sympathy out to you all, Michelle, Marcel and Necole on the death of your Dad (Guy). I, too, truly loved my brother and always looked forward to our get- togethers. And as everyone knows, how punctual Guy was when the visit was over, he was gone as quickly as he came! I will always remember his routine visiting. He would come in and proceed straight to the kitchen table and order his coffee and whatever sweet (dessert) was available. He SO appreciated home baking. That is accredited to your mom who spoiled him with her delicious home cooking. We will always remember visiting them in Trenton and there it was the reverse routine. We were ushered to the kitchen to see what delicacy Betty had baked that day and then were served it up with coffee! Good Memories with lots of laughs! We will miss those visits. Love - Gerald & Helen Belanger

Dear Family, I enjoyed viewing this beautiful memorial website that you put together with so much love. I remember Uncle Guy as being an uncle full of life and joy. He never forgot to give the little members of his family a hug, a treat and many big smiles. As a child growing up I always knew that he loved Aunt Betty and his children - they kept him whole and balanced. He will always be fondly remembered in my heart.

Dear Family:
I've not known Guy for the years that many people have. That being said I've listened and learned about many stories of Guy prior to my having met him 15 years ago. Jim had shared with me the many stories of Guy painting their home, and the care Guy took of his pool, and lawn. A year or so after meeting Jim, I took him to Prince George to see Betty and Guy as a birthday gift. Jim had prepared me not to be upset if Guy said hi and then went to the basement and didn't speak..... said that's Guy.
Low and behold after about 2 days in PG, I said to Jim, this isn't the person you told me about not talking..... We could barely get a word in as Guy talked our ears off.
Then we went again with Sonny and Lynne a couple years later every day Timmy's brought home to us. I'd given Guy the task of doing up a schedule of the things we could do while visiting, it was done with precision and very precise with timing ... to the hour (sometimes to timed for our liking ...LOL) Very true about if he was finished with a visit, or lunch or talking, he wanted to go. We took Guy and Betty out for dinner in Trenton on one of their visits to Marmora and I didn't laugh at the time, but got many laughs talking about it later. Guy sat down and the waitress asked if she could bring us a drink... Guy said he'd like a coffee.... then added has it been on for more than 20 minutes cause if it has make me a fresh one. (A Timmy's moto) He got fresh coffee.
Guy was determined, and very kind,if the other person understood and accepted that he was a take charge kind of person. Thank God we were all made differently otherwise life would be really boring.
We have many memories to exchange.... Thanks for the memories Guy. My dream is that you are at peace as I know the past year and a half without the love of your life Betty has been a rough road.
Our condolences to each of the children and their families.
Share the wonderful memories of your parents with your families, as that's what living is about.
Love always Iris and Jim Deline

I loved the photos - thank you for taking the time to put them together. They made me cry but I think that is a good thing. I am sure they will make my dad cry. So sorry for your loss. I hope my godfather is happy and healthy where ever he is. I still have the box that Guy and Betty gave me for my christening. I lost the necklace of course but I kept the box. Love Dawn

Dear Michelle & family,
John 14:1-4 "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going."

God's peace be with you and your family.
