I knew Tim through his mother Margaret Gannon, my neighbor.
Margaret would tell stories about Tim building their cabin at Camp Nelson with his dad Joe. And he did this at the ripe old age of seventeen! It would become a lifelong commitment.
And she shared how much he loved working in nature.
Even to the point of running away from home when a small child and hiding in a tree! He was as delightful as he was a dedicated family man.
The first time I met Tim was because I was avoiding being arrested by Sonitrol! I had gone to see Margaret, found her doors unlocked and the house empty. I did not know the house had a burglar alarm. I went home to call Tim and he said his mom was him, and they'd gone shopping, and forgot to lock the back door.
I didn't realize I'd just missed the Sonitrol patrol car.
Tim was laughing at the fact that it wonderful someone went to check on his mom but he sure would hate to have to bail me out of jail for breaking and entering.
That was the Gannon household.

Tim was devoted to his family. Joey and Indie grew up being active in sports with Timmy on the side lines or with them, on the field, in the mountains, in the ocean, or on the slopes. He taught them adventure. He was an avid handball player for his entire life right up 83. He was a beautiful and talented carpenter and made many pieces of furniture in their homes. Flying was his passion. He flew to wilderness spots in his float plane to fish and enjoy nature. Timmy loved entertaining and having a bunch of friends and family around the table.
He leaves behind a beautiful set of memories of funny and adventurous adventures with friends and family. Oh, he makes the strongest coffee to rival any Italian or Frenchman.

As a college friend of Joe, if Mr. Gannon was anything like Joe, I cannot imagine all the lives he touched during his years on this earth. Sending condolences and hugs to the Gannon and extended family. What a life well-lived. So sorry for your loss.
