Guy Hallman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Linnemann Funeral Home - Burlington on Mar. 5, 2026.
Guy Hallman, 64, passed away unexpectedly on March 3, 2026. Born on February 11, 1962, to the late Robert Harry Hallman and Carole (née Hart), Guy grew up in New Jersey and carried that strong, steady presence with him throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Leigh Marsh. Guy is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Karen (née Hendy), whom he adored and faithfully served a cup of coffee every morning. He leaves behind his son, Nathan Hallman (Rachel); his daughter, Sarah Davis (Myles); his cherished grandson, Russ; and another grandson, Vince, who is eagerly awaited and already deeply loved. Guy proudly served with the Hebron Fire Department for 5–6 years and was the kind of man who was always willing to step in and help-no matter the situation. Whether assisting friends with a move despite a bad back or making sure every guest had enough food and plenty of ice at a gathering, he put others first without hesitation. A devoted and passionate fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Guy rarely missed a chance to cheer them on. (He would root for the Bengals too-so long as they weren't playing the Eagles.) He seemed to know every song lyric, movie line, and bit of trivia imaginable, delivering them with quick wit and a wonderfully edgy sense of humor that kept everyone laughing.

Guy never met a stranger. He greeted friends with a warm hug and made sure to send them off with one too-always walking everyone out to their car, regardless of the weather or circumstance. Even after knee surgery, he insisted on seeing guests safely to their vehicles. He never wore a coat, but somehow always made sure everyone else was warm, fed, and cared for. If you left his home, you left with leftovers. To those who loved him, Guy was like a gentle bear-strong, protective, and steady. On camping trips, boating adventures, hikes, drive-in movie nights, card games, family vacations, or simple backyard gatherings, his presence made everyone feel safe. He could tread water for hours and seemed ready to handle anything life threw his way. When Guy was around, you simply felt secure. He loved to travel, to talk, to laugh, and to make people feel valued. More than anything, he loved his family and friends fiercely and faithfully. He made sure everyone had enough to eat, enough to drink, and enough love. Guy Hallman was a devoted husband, proud father and grandfather, loyal friend, and a man who made the world feel safer just by being in it. His hugs, his humor, and his generous heart will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Linnemann Funeral Home, with funeral services beginning at noon. A reception will follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Wounded Warrior Project or Tunnel to Towers Foundation in Guy's honor.
