Guy Warren Jackson Jr., 74, passed away on March 6, 2026.

Born on January 30, 1952, he was the son of the late Guy Warren Jackson and Carol Cornwell Jackson.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Mills Jackson; stepdaughter, Margaret Sutton; stepson, John C. Sutton and wife Mika; step-granddaughter, Lauren Brooke Sutton; sister, Jane Jackson of Winston Salem, North Carolina; and brother, Larry Jackson of Middleburg, Virginia.

Guy began his law enforcement career with the Roanoke County Sheriff's Office, where he faithfully served for more than 10 years. He later proudly served his country as a United States Marshal for more than 20 years before retiring from a distinguished career in law enforcement. He truly loved his work as a Marshal and carried great pride in serving and protecting others throughout his career.

He was a devoted member of Fort Lewis Christian Church in Salem, Virginia. In his free time, he enjoyed hiking, playing chess, participating in marksmanship competitions, and spending time with his close friends. A competitor at heart, he valued discipline and challenge, yet remained a simple man who appreciated the quiet joys of life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Fort Lewis Christian Church General Fund.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, March 12th at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem, VA at 11:00 a.m.
