Guy Kaylor Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Usrey Brown Funeral Service on Mar. 15, 2026.
Guy H. Kaylor, age 95, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026. He was born on May 10, 1930, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late S.D. Kaylor and Rosa Kaylor. In addition to his parents, Guy was preceded in death by his brothers, Karl Kaylor and Jack Kaylor.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Florence Kaylor; his children, Karan Bush (Tim), Clay Kaylor (Janet), and Ann Clarke (David); eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.

Guy built a distinguished career in the textile industry, serving as Vice President of Manufacturing at Wehadkee Yarn Mills. Throughout his life, he was deeply committed to serving his community. He was a faithful member and Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church in Talladega. His civic involvement included membership in the Rotary Club and United Way, serving on the Talladega Vocational Advisory Board, and Citizens Hospital Board, and holding the position of Past President of the Chamber of Commerce.

Guy had a love for golf and was a proud and enthusiastic Auburn alumnus. Above all, he cherished time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His life was guided by his strong faith and a deep commitment to God, family, travel, and Auburn-values he faithfully instilled in his family.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery. Dr. Robert Klotz will officiate the service.

Guy will be remembered for his faith, leadership, and the love he shared with his family and community.
