Guy Morrow Stringer Jr.

Guy Morrow Stringer, Jr. (82), of Atlanta, GA, passed away in his sleep on July 14, 2023. He was born June 21, 1941. He was preceded in death by parents, Guy and Marcella Stringer; daughters, Andrea and Angela Stringer; brother, Lee Stringer; brother-in-law, Jerry Godfrey. He is survived by his wife, Kay Stringer; daughters and sons-in-law, Robyn and Gary White, Leigh and Richard Bridges; grandchildren, Kayleigh Greene and Benjamin Pailloz; brother and sisters-in-law Biff and Linda Stringer, Carolyn Stringer; sister, Midge Godfrey. He served in the Air Force during Vietnam and retired after many years at Glidden Paints. He was known for always wearing blue jeans, cowboy boots, cowboy hats or ball caps, camo, overalls or suspenders, usually accompanied by jewelry he often made himself. He loved all things western, country music, America, Harry the grand dog, caramel cake, pecan pie, the Varsity, and his family. Many vacations were spent in the mountains, the beach, or the lake. He spent many years as one of the sound men for the clogging team his daughters danced for which led to many adventures and experiences with his family. He was a friend, uncle, cousin, Pop of 2, dad of 4 girls (2 in Heaven, 2 on earth), and husband and the countless memories made with those he loved will live on in the lives he touched. His family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 1:00 pm. The service will be at Scot Ward Funeral Home at 699 American Legion Road, Conyers, GA 30012. There will be a visitation for friends and family following the service at the home of his daughter (Robyn White) and wife (Kay Stringer).
