Gwen Becker

Gwendolyn Hope Rogers 94, was born on August 6, 1923 and made her transition on November 9, 2017. Gwen is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Lillie Mae Rogers and her husband Herman "Sonny" Becker. She is survived by her sister Nancy Gilliam of Kingsville, TX. She leaves behind three children, Donnie and his wife Debra, daughter Emily and husband Joe Prien and daughter Amy Katkic and son in law Ed Katkic. She has five grandchildren; Jacklyn Hensley, Craig Katkic, Joey Prien, Dusty Prien and wife Lisa, and Tara Prien. She also has four great grandchildren; Elizabeth Wisner, Brenden Wisner, Jillian Mae Wisner, and Lucas Prien. Numerous nieces and nephews. Gwen loved her kids and grandkids and was always there to help with them. Gwen retired from the Legislative Journal Clerk's Office. Most of her life she spent raising her kids and volunteering. Gwen never met a stranger. She was friendly, outgoing and loved being involved in life. She loved traveling and was always ready to get in a car and go. She will be missed by all that knew her. Services to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Weed-Corley-Fish, 3125 North Lamar Blvd. There will be a visitation at 9:00 a.m. followed by the service at 10:00 a.m.
