Dave,

My deepest condolences to you for the Homegoing of your beloved wife, Gwen. Our hope and comfort is "absent from the body present with the Lord". Thank the Lord that Gwen is safe and secure in the arms of Jesus.

I remember Gwen as someone who cared for others in her unique ways. I remember the times as Bethany where she would make special efforts to greet me and my wife at church. Her soft spoken nature drew us to her.
She was a glowing example of a disciple of Jesus. I Thank God for her.

So sorry to hear this news but, so glad to know that your faith will sustain you as you endure this present hardship knowing that Gwen has been raised to eternal life. This is the hope we have in Christ. I am reminded by the Westminster Shorter Catechism that "Man's chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy him forever" - and so we will. I´m confident the two of you had a rich life together. I will always be grateful to God for knowing you as my teacher.

Unfortunately I did not know Gwen, but I do want to pass on my condolences--and my empathy.
