WEYMOUTH - Gwendolyn (Gwen) Knight went home to be with the Lord on November 19, 2025.

Gwen was born March 25, 1935 in Norwich, CT to Leslie Dimmock and Lois (Woodmansee) Beebe. She
graduated from Norwich Free Academy and Mary Washington college, Fredricksburg, VA and from
Katherine Gibbs, Boston. Gwen worked as a secretary to a number of businesses including WBZ and
WBZ-TV, Boston; Glad Tidings and Thomas Crane Public Library, Quincy. She also worked as a staff
secretary for John F. Kennedy during his presidential campaign.

She was married to William B. Knight on May.11, 1968 and made their home in Quincy before moving to
Hingham, where they lived for 41 years. They moved to Allerton House, Weymouth, in 2015.

Gwen was active in teaching Sunday School in the Children's Department and was a former member of
Glad Tidings Church in Quincy before becoming a member of Crossroads Worship Center, Weymouth.
She is survived by her brother Dwight A. Beebe and his wife Janis of Ashtabula, Ohio and two nieces,
Anne (Beebe) and Brian Jones and Catherine (Beebe) and Jacob Hughes; a great niece and three great
nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond Street,
Hingham, MA on Wednesday, November 26 at 10 am with Rev. Karen C. Rydwansky officiating. Burial will
follow in the Knight family plot in the Hull Village Cemetery.

Memorial donations in Gwen's name may be sent to Crossroads Worship Center, 241 Broad Street,
Weymouth, MA 02188
