Mrs. Gwendolyn Marie McDonald was born in Birmingham,
Alabama, on August 6, 1937.

Gwendolyn was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She
deeply loved the Lord and was an active minister at her church.
A true soldier and cancer survivor, she was full of life. She will
truly be missed for her ability to uplift your spirit when you
were feeling down through prayer. The sharing of a recipe or
newly found crafting idea and most of all, mispronouncing
your name. We will miss you, but God needed you more.

Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Decal McConico; son, Jimmie McConico; brothers,
Frank, Calvin, Rickey; sisters, Olivia and Minnie; father and

mother-in-law, Harry Ollison and Nancy Jenkins; brothers-
in-law, Henry McDonald, William, Joseph, and Anderson

Hawkins; and sisters-in-law, Renetta Fields, Rebecca Hawkins,
and Constance Perry.

She leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Harry
McDonald; daughters, Janice (Adam), Valarie, Courtney; son,
Nakia; special son, Stanley; grandchildren, Jimmie (Kristina),
Renesha Stanley, Jr., Demarcus (Shaterrica), Jabreia, Juwuan
(Kiana), and Jeremiah; 20 great-grandchildren; sisters, Juanita
Betty Jo and Wanda; brother, Cardell; brothers-in-law, Willie
Hawkins, Ronald Ollison (Margrett), Mark Porter (Patricia);
sisters-in-law, Ivy Luckey (Robert), Nan Vaughn (Toby); and a
host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
