Miss you Much
Dr. Flora Beene Johnson
November 17, 2020
Gwen RIP. I remember our walks to Lincoln Elementary after your mom combed your hair and finished the style with your "baby hair".
I remember your veteran dad working at the Federal Center; your intelligent twin sisters and doting baby brother.
I remember your beautiful mom allowing me to attend your ballet lessons and your dinners with the Beene family on Champion Street.
I remember our friends Martha Johnson, Mary Scott and how the group taught this 10-year-old how to finally ride a bike! You comforted me when I was bullied by _____ as a new student
We parted ways after Northwestern Junior High ... then Battle Creek Central and beyond. I often missed you at class reunions; but I will ALWAYS remember the special place you hold in my heart.

May God's arms be around you and may you rest in peace and love. You are so missed, a void that is un-fillable. Thank you for sharing your kindness, love, patience and wisdom with me. Until we meet again, your "Sis".

Received the sad news that my cherished, Inseparable during our youthful years, Friend (since the 4th Grade) had passed away. What fun, good times and teen secrets we shared together. Thanks for teaching me how to ride a bicycle, swim, drive a car and so many other treasured and unforgettable moments. Also, for the life-lesson, you indeed taught, of being an extraordinary person, who was so beautiful on the Outside; and, had such a pure heart and soul, filled with immeasurable love, kindness and incredible joy on the Inside. You shared your Mom, Dad, twin sisters, younger brother and all your extended family & your friends with me, as well. Each relative and each friend became a part of my life, too. Growing up, we attended different churches and different high schools. Thereafter, are newly found young adult paths parted, as we pursued individual interests, personal dreams and our Destiny. Even so, we still kept coming together again, and again, in brand new experiences and settings. Both sets of our parents retired to Tucson, AZ. You were present, when my Dad passed away; and, on and on. Likewise, over the many years, we rekindled our friendship in San Francisco, Atlanta and Chicago. Thanks for the wonderful memories. Myself, daughter Mia and the remaining Johnson Family sisters, will always love, remember, think of you and miss you! REST IN PEACE BFF.
