H. Appley Obituary
Lee was a Deputy Sheriff and Police Officer in Campbell County Wyoming and a Police Officer in Spearfish, SD, Lee was also a M.P. for two years in the Navy. Lee was Campbell County's first Juvenile Probation Officer and played a significant role in the initiation of the first Y.E.S. House. In 1980, Lee transitioned to working for Amex Coal and enjoyed a fulfilling career until his retirement in 2005.
Lee's passions extended beyond his professional life. He cherished his family and the Lord, finding joy in camping, fishing, traveling and going to church. His hobbies included reading and exploring new destinations. Lee was very well traveled. HIs last big adventure was traveling to the Holy Land.
Lee will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Paula Appley, sons Scott and Greg Appley, grandchildren Brandii (Corey) Hoff, Sarah (Tyson) Bauman, Tramane Appley, Taran (Kelsey) Appley, sisters Linda Knickerbocker and Cynthia Updike, step-grandson Kris (Amanda) North, and 11 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Lee's life will be decided on at a later date.
