Hadress “Ann” Ratcliff Brown went to her heavenly home on March 8, 2026, where she had longed to be.

She was welcomed by the love of her life, “Jr.” Ratcliff; her parents, Clifford, and Marie Aultz; her three sisters, Carre, Rita, and Barbara Sue; and her brother, Hershell.

Ann leaves behind many wonderful memories for her beloved children: Jeffery and Debra Ratcliff; Lois and Keith Poland; Dwayne and Misty Ratcliff; and Bobby and Miranda Ratcliff. She loved her family deeply and is also survived by eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of dear friends. Ann dedicated her life to serving others.

She worked as a CNA and truly loved every minute of caring for her patients, who loved her just as much. She had a generous heart and was always willing to help anyone in need. She also had a passion for baking, especially during the holidays when she would outdo herself making treats for family and friends. Ann loved playing games, and many nights could be found gathered with her sisters and brother around a table playing dominoes. She played to win and never hesitated to give them a little good-natured grief along the way.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Poland Cemetery under the direction of Faith and Family Funeral Services in Batson, Texas. Travis Hogg will officiate the service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Keith A. Poland, Leroy Lee, Dwayne Ratcliff Jr., Steven Bird, James Smith, and Timothy Trotter.

The family would like to thank Riceland Hospice for the care and comfort they provided. They would also like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Paradigm at the Pines for the love, compassion, and dedicated care shown to Ann. The nurses and CNAs went above and beyond, and the family is deeply appreciative.
