So many memories! Hal will always be Mr. Hatch to me. No matter how close our families were or how old I get, he will always be Mr. Hatch to me. He was my teacher, my vice principal, and my friend. He could tease like no other. He often used his humor to correct us while teaching us to drive. He could make me laugh and make me cry and usually at the same time!!! You could always count on Mr. Hatch to be your friend, to care about you. We grew up in a wonderful era where our teachers and leaders served as tremendous examples to us. They had the same moral compass and the same Christian values. There was a feeling of safety in that in those tender years of my life. Thank you Mr. Hatch. Every generation needs a Mr. Hatch in their lives. How blessed are we that we had the original! I love you all Hatch family...

There was no other then, and there will be no other now or ever. You were one of a kind. As they say " God broke the mold when he made you." I have many memories but the one that comes to mind was when I was driving (a stick of course), I had just pulled onto Main, and he said "Starkey! We are never going to make it back to school if you don't shift this thing!" He was a delight to be around..he will be missed by so many. He touched many lives and he will remain a part of all of us for years to come.

Why Mr. Hatch I wish I'd have know you were still with us...You would be so proud of me for learning to parallel park!!!! I'll never forget getting out to measure the inches from the curb...and those deep disappointing words..."Dennie...you flunked!" :) ALWAYS thought of you when I was parking. You'd be so proud of me now. I'll share your departure with the other two "Dennie sisters". Oh yes...you'd say..."not another Dennie".
Bless you on your new journey Mr. Hatch.
