Hal Douglas Tackett, known by many as "Bimbo", age 65, of Jamestown, passed away November 25, 2025, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. Bimbo was born July 31, 1960, in Xenia, Ohio, the son of Harry Douglas and Jarnetia (McGowan) Tackett. He was a Harley-Davison enthusiast and loved riding whenever he could. He also loved old rock and roll music, especially KISS and Jackel, whom he has seen in concert many times. Bimbo was a collector of cars, especially hot wheels and racing collectibles. He is survived by his log-time companion, Rebecca "Becky" Gordon; mother Jarnetia Tackett; daughter Chelsey Gordon of Jamestown; granddaughter Rylee Rayne Gordon; sisters Rose (Bruce) Abling and Anita (Larry) Thomas all of Jamestown; nieces and nephews, Derick Thomas, Lindsey Thomas, Melissa (Scott) Frye, Joe (Stephanie) Abling, Misty (Randy) Dixon, Shawn (Tiffany) Tackett, and Scott (Sarah) Tackett; several great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; Becky's family, her mother Linda Polk of Washington C.H.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Beth (Greg) Gregory, Heather Gordon of Washington C.H., Diane (Trace) Croel of Columbus, and Jamie (Josh) Therrian of Washington C.H.; long-time close friend Gary Hunter; and many extended family and friends. Bimbo is preceded in death by his father Harry Douglas Tackett; brother William Allen Tackett; brother-in-law Duane "Tommy" Thomas; and his maternal and paternal grandparents. A Celebration of Bimbo's Life will be held January 10, 2025, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 682 W. 2nd Street, Xenia, Ohio 45385. Powers-Kell Funeral Home is assisting the family.
