Halcyonia "Halcy" Tann aka Mom, Ma, Grammy, and Gigi, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2025. She was born in Talladega, Alabama to Clarence Turner and Addis Smith whom preceded her in death.

Halcy grew up in Monongahela and graduated from Elizabeth Forward High School. She eventually settled down in the Stanton Heights neighborhood and went to work for well over twenty five years at the United States Postal Service where she retired as the Manager of Business Mail Entry.

She was always prepared to help those in need with her warm smile, organization and computer skills, in addition to her amazing laugh and sharp tongue. Even if she was were jokes went to die.

She is mourned and survived by her son, Bryan Tann Sr. Her daughter-in-law Sharon, stepson Ronald Tann Jr, grandsons Bryan Tann Jr., Ronald Tann III, Robert and Jacob Holleran, her great grandchildren Addy, and Phoenix, her younger siblings Kasey Smith, Deborah Flynn, Maurice and Marvin Turner, Janet Arrington, and Delores Harrell, her stepmother Harriet "Ruby" Turner, her cousin Joyce, as well as her closest friends, her son Bryan's friends that affectionately called her "Mom", godchildren, family, and many acquaintances.

There will be no service per her request.
