Haley McMahon Obituary

Published by Weed Corley Fish Funeral Homes and Cremation Services - North on Dec. 31, 2010.
On December 31, 2010, Haley Myler McMahon was embraced in the loving arms of God to live in the peace of his eternal light. She was a bright, beautiful and engaging young woman who was dearly loved by her husband, family, friends and especially by her precious daughter, Avery. Haley will be remembered for her kind heart, generous spirit and profound empathy for those who were struggling to find their place in this world. She had a deep love and respect for animals and nature and she instilled these values in her beloved Avery through their many hours of reading about wildlife and caring for a variety of pets. Haley will also be remembered for her vibrant sense of humor and the warmth and affection she so easily shared with those around her. She was a talented photographer and a wonderful baker who often brought photographs, cakes and cookies to those she loved. Haley was born in Austin on October 26, 1983. She graduated from Bowie High School, attended Austin Community College and was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd. Haley is survived by her husband, Hagen McMahon III, her daughter, Gwyneth Avery (age 4), her father, Wayne Myler of Austin, her mother, Marci Jones and stepfather, Greg Jones of Paradise, California, her brother, Austin Myler of Austin, her sister, Savannah Rauscher, brother-in-law Richard Rauscher, a niece, Anneliese and a nephew, Richard, all of Alexandria, Virginia. She is also survived by her paternal grandfather, Doug Myler of Austin, her maternal grandmother, Marjorie Paige of Paradise, California and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Haley's in-laws include: Hagen McMahon, Jr., and his wife, Susan Hendrix McMahon of Austin, Nancy Wroe Nation and her husband, Floyd Nation of Houston, brother-in-law Beau McMahon of Austin, sister-in-law Wynne McMahon of Houston and a large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial service to honor Haley’s life is scheduled for Friday, January 7, 2 PM, at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to Austin Pets Alive, Animal Trustees of Austin or another charity of your choice.
