Hans Jochem Buehler, 87, of Pisgah Forest, passed away on January 15, 2024. Born in Germany, he was the son of the late Gustav and Maria Denzel Buehler. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sisters Helga and Christa and his brother, Georg.
A man of deep and abiding faith, he worked as a tool and dye maker after graduating from trade school while living in Germany. He came to love to skiing
whitewater kayaking and canoeing, including competing in two-person closed canoes with his wife, Marion.
His loving survivors include his wife of 57 years, Marion Buehler; their sons: Erich Buehler (Meredith Mackenzie), Georg Buehler (Janet) and Eugen Buehler (Juliane Caviston); grandchildren: Aiden, Malcom, James, Margot and Alexander; and his brother Karlheinz Buehler (Marian).
