Hansa Devendra Doshi passed away in Alpharetta, GA on January 3, 2026 in the loving presence of her family. Born in Gujarat in 1949, Hansa built a life as a dedicated wife to Devendra for 53 years and 7 months, raised three successful children (Ameet, Rani, and Amar), and was the loving grandmother to five beautiful grandchildren: Aria (17), Rian (16), Kieran (almost 13), Mirabel (8), and Mara (6), and two grandpuppies, Bruno and Rizzo.
She demonstrated her love to everyone in myriad ways, both large and small. Because of mom and dad's support their kids never needed to worry about anything. Mom spent much of her life making sure her children's daily needs were provided for, with healthy delicious meals, trips to the library, support for educational and social activities, and never wavering in her kindness to an ever widening circle of friends and family in Chicago, Knoxville, Louisiana, Atlanta, and India. Then, as Hansa and Devendra's grandchildren were born, they became the light of their lives, and we witnessed just how much mom's love extended to bathing the next generation in her selfless kindness and devotion.
Mom never wanted anyone to be hungry. In lieu of flowers please remember Hansa by donating in her memory to Solidarity Food Pantry of Sandy Springs.
Over her entire life she never thought about herself and was always concerned about others welfare before her own. Her entire family and group of friends benefited from her selfless desire to ensure other people's happiness. Her wish to everyone was to always "be happy" and "think positive." As you think about all the good that Hansa left to this world, and as you move throughout your daily rituals, she would hope that you please keep this in mind: "Be Happy and Think Positive"
