Harold Raymond Archibald

Harold Raymond Archibald, 90, of Hartford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Hartford Hospital. Born in Thornton, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, West Indies on April 24, 1926, son of the late David and Benjamina (Blair) Archibald, he was raised in Jamaica and had lived in Hartford from the time he immigrated to the United States in 1949. Harold worked as a truck driver for many years in the grocery business until his retirement. He leaves two sisters, Elaine Shields of Santa Cruz, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica and Lorraine Channer of Brompton, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica; a granddaughter, Nicole Hooks of Bloomfield; and host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by two brothers, David and Oswald Archibald; and a sister, Dorothy Archibald. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
