Harold Bailey Obituary
Harold "Harry" Russell Bailey, age 88, of Hudson, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at his home surrounded by family. Harry was born on October 19, 1933, in Ogden Center, the son of Edwin and Ruth (Hamilton) Bailey. Harry proudly served his country in the United States Army from July 7, 1953 to June 18, 1955. On September 24, 1955, in Riga, Harry married Laura Jean Goetz and she survives. Harry started his work career at Revco Manufacturing until he eventually realized his dream of owning and operating a grain farm. He was a member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Adrian, enjoyed fastpitch softball, baseball – especially the Detroit Tigers, and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife of 66 years, Laura, Harry is survived by his children, Gregory (Kelly) Bailey of Hudson, Kirk (Tamara) Bailey of Boone, NC, and Kris (David) Bailey-Rupp of St. Paul, MN; brother, Don Bailey of Adrian; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Herbert, William, and Richard Bailey; and a sister, Betty Mallory.
Visitation for Harry will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022, from 4-8 p.m. at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services at St. Stephen Luther Church with Pastor Brian Keller officiating. Burial will be held in Ogden-Zion Cemetery.
You may send condolences to the family at www.eaglemarryfuneralhome.com. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Stephen Lutheran Church or to charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Eagle-Marry Funeral Home, Hudson.
